First Entry Ever and Fourth of July Nails

Here goes my first attempt ever at writing a blog...  I've been thinking about it for some time now. Nail art is a fun hobby for me. I have about 300 bottles of nail polish and countless nail art supplies so I figured why not share my love of art and nail polish and glitter with the world? Why not share my trials, errors, and opinions of products I try and want to try?

Now for the nail art: I used 1 coat of Cutex Base works, 1 coat of Orly Bonder, 3 thin coats of OPI Alpine Snow, 1 coat of Seche Vite, Essie Butler Please, Sally Hansen Gem Crush Cha Ching, Essie No Place Like Chrome, another coat of Seche Vite, China Glaze regular no chip topcoat to adhere clear rhinestones, a medium striper brush and a bit of blue painters tape for the blue section. I'm very happy with  the way this turned out :)

The 2 basecoats are my go to combo... After I laid down the white base and added Seche Vite to speed up dry time, I taped off the top diagonal half of my nails and painted the bottom blue and quickly peeled off the tape. I used the striper to paint on red stripes and a silver stripe to divide the blue and striped area. I then placed rhinestones in the blue area for stars and then put on a couple more thick coats of Seche Vite to protect it.
